Fernando Cremades (Spain, 1989) has studied art and architecture in Madrid (2014) and his final thesis project was about a strategy of reduction of radioactivity for Chernobyl.

Part of his research is focused on the observation of natural micro bio-systems and thinking of new ways of the organization of life. Now, the main focus of his investigation is the study of the fungus Cryptococcus neoformans which appeared in Chernobyl after the nuclear accident. This fungus has the capacity to use radioactivity as an energy source for making food and spurring their growth.

Since 2007, with research scholarships, he has lived in Berlin and Liechtenstein and has worked in Studio Tomas Saraceno (Berlin, 2013), Ivan Gallery (ARCO Madrid, 2013), GarcíaGerman Arquitectos (Madrid, 2012) and NietoSobejano Arquitectos (Madrid, 2011).
